EBV Infection Unmasking a Choledochal Cyst in an Infant

An 8-month-old female, came complaining of high grade fever which was diagnosed to be due to choledochal cyst type IVa complicated by biliary stones. The patient was kept NPO and started on IV hydration post which she showed improvement. A complete resection of extrahepatic ducts with Roux-en-Y hepaticoenterostomy was perfromed, she had an uneventful recovery.
