Peiqi Zhao conducted a study to assess CD5+ diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma that occurs at a low frequency (9.2%) as not many studies have been done for them. The researchers found that CD5+ diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma was associated with unfavorable clinicopathologic variables and with inferior survival. CD5+ diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma  has a high frequency of p53 overexpression, and CD5 augments the negative effect of p53 overexpression in diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma.
