A study was conducted in order to understand the efficacy of carvedilol vs metoprolol succinate in patients with implantable cardioverterdefibrillators It included 569 patients with systolic heart failure The results suggested that carvedilol use was associated with improved survival free of appropriate ICD therapy compared to metoprolol succinate in patients with HFrEF
