EPIC-Norfolk Study: Cardiovascular Risk Factors Found to be Associated with Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Giant Cell Arteritis

Max Yates et.al. conducted a study to understand if Cardiovascular risk factors increase the risk of Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Giant Cell Arteritis. The researchers concluded that both Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Giant Cell Arteritis, share common risk factors thereby suggesting a common underlying propensity. This may also be helpful in making prevention strategies by modifying cardiovascular risk.
