Gabapentin Therapy For Irritability, Pain, and Movement Disorders In Neonates & Infants

A recent study has analyzed the effect of gabapentin, a structural analogue of c-aminobutyric acid to manage agitation and pain in neonatal intensive care units. The findings suggested that gabapentin not only reduced pain scores but also lowered the demand for multiple neurosedative medications for a couple of weeks after initiating the therapy.
