Thomas R Meinel et al sought to determine the safety and mortality post mechanical thrombectomy in patients receiving vitamin k Antagonists or direct oral anticoagulants. The findings suggested that post mechanical thrombectomy the risk of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage and mortality was high. They recommend improved selection in VKA- treated patients.
