The Role of Post Mortem Examination Prior to Cremation: Is It Still An Important Measure?

Lisa Marie Behrens et.al. conducted a study to understand if postmortem external examination at the time of cremation provides an additional benefit in determining if there were any differences in the quality of medical death certificates that are obtained from hospital and non-hospital post mortem examinations. The researches concluded that an examination prior to cremation was an indispensable component for quality assurance.
