Digestive Symptoms Tied to Worse COVID-19 Outcomes

According to a study published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology, patients presenting with Gastrointestinal symptoms who tested COVID-19 positive were more likely to have a severe form of the disease as compared to the patients with no gastrointestinal symptoms. Symptoms their symptoms included anorexia (83.8%), diarrhea (29.3%), vomiting (0.8%), and abdominal pain (0.4%).
