Nonsurgical Ablation Can Be a Game Changer In the Treatment Of Kidney Cancer

Per the Society of Interventional Radiology’s first-ever position statement on the role of percutaneous ablation in treating renal cell carcinoma, some kidney cancer patients can be effectively treated without surgery. The authors recommend a thermal percutaneous ablation for kidney cancer patients with small renal tumors and they call it a safe and effective treatment without much complications compared to nephrectomy.
