Novel AI Blood Test Predicts The Severity & Progression Of Neurodegenerative Diseases

A new machine-learning algorithm uses genetic data from patient blood samples can significantly predict the progression and severity of neurodegenerative diseases including Huntington’s and Alzheimer’s. The researchers at The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital), McGill University, Montreal, Canada have reported that the algorithm predicted clinical deterioration and progression into advanced stages. The technique also allowed for the discovery of genes and molecular pathways in peripheral tissues and brain tissues that are highly predictive of disease evolution.
